year one

in my first year, i experimented with form and print.

these designs were informed by research done on ballroom culture in the united states, and how identity forms for queer individuals of colour through experiences with racism and queerphobia.

This was a first year design project exploring creative pattern design and sewing technique.

this was the final print design.

I had to repaint all of my pattern pieces with print ink as the first pass didn't come out the correct colour; this took up a fair amount of my time.
